Span and load
The same louvre size may require a different system under different wind, snow-load and substrate conditions.
Integration
ZIP screens, glass enclosures, lighting and drainage should be coordinated while selecting the product family.

The Luxa 800 combines the louvre blade technology of the Luxa 700 with a fully retractable roof mechanism. The blades first rotate to the open position, then slide horizontally to stack at one end — opening the roof completely to the sky. This dual-action system uses coordinated retractable drive mechanism for smooth, jam-free operation.
Quiet drive system. When retracted, the blade stack occupies only 400 mm depth at one end. Ideal for installations adjacent to buildings where maximum daylight penetration into the house is desired, pool areas where sunbathing requires full sky exposure, and hospitality venues that want open-air dining in fair weather with instant rain protection.

PROJECT INPUTS
Treat the pergola as a project system: span, drainage, exposure, fixing and accessories must be read together before a quotation or technical statement.
No. Span, projection, post layout, wind, snow and fixing surface define the usable configuration.
Before quotation, because side closures affect comfort, wind exposure, access and electrical routing.
The system may use integrated drainage, but the final water route depends on roof slope, gutter and site discharge.
Avoid invented permit status, load capacity, warranty or exact dimensions without cited project data.
PRODUCT ANSWERS
Use these notes to check the product against project data before opening calculators, product finder or quote path.
For pergolas, verandas and glass systems, fit depends on opening size, drainage, wind and snow assumptions, control type, glass-enclosure need and the expected outdoor-season use.

APPLICATIONS

The retractable roof opens completely to the sky — perfect for sunbathing when the weather is good, with instant rain protection when clouds arrive. The retractable drive mechanism mechanism retracts the blades silently.
Popular choice for properties where the pergola sits adjacent to the building and maximum daylight into the house interior is important when the roof is open.

Switch between open sky dining and covered protection in seconds. Event venues use the dramatic sky-opening effect as a feature — guests enjoy stargazing with the option of instant weather protection.
The stacked blade position uses only 400 mm depth, maximising the open-sky experience when retracted.

Rooftop venues benefit from the Luxa 800's dual personality: open sky atmosphere for clear evenings, fully enclosed comfort during wind or rain. The combination attracts guests regardless of forecast.
Coupled modules create large covered rooftop areas that convert to open-air spaces with one remote button.
